Sorry it took me so long to continue this series of blog posts about our road trip. The reason for this feels a bit silly to me, but i will be honest about it anyway: L.A. is kind of my kryptonite. I wrote about this already three years ago and although my feeling changed a bit, it’s still so strong that i have a hard time putting it into words.
As soon as I close my eyes I feel like I’m right back there. The sand under my feet and the wind blowing around me feel as deceptively real as the air smells like the salty sea all of the sudden. I hear the skateboards hitting the concrete and a distant chatter of life – Venice, my love, I’ve missed you so much it’s unreal. It took me so many years to meet my big love finally for real, altho i knew already that it would break my heart one day. How many times I’ve been talking about this city, without being able to prove them, how sure I was about my words – and how many times I had to let people mock me about it. And it’s not that I didnt have the chance to visit my kryptonite earlier… I just wanted to do it the right way. No halfhearted seven days vacation, no hotel rooms, no stupid tourbusses. That’s not how you get to know a city, thats not real, it’s just the pathetic rich-kids-dreamer-version.
I wanted something entirely different, i wanted to feel it so I know, what it is like to really live there, simply because this city deserves it. I always knew, that it is, where I belong. So I refused ’til I could do it my way. A whole month, five blocks away from venice beach, living in a house and driving a rental, cooking instead of going to restaurants all the time and not taking a single fucking guided tour – just being there and exploring it all by myself. And it didn’t only measure up but exceeded all my expectations.
Here is a new outfit for you, shot by the wonderful the3rdvoice who has recently helped me a lot to restore my faith in humanity 😛
I also borrowed this amazing beanie from her and she started to take me to awesome fashion events with her – so be prepared for some really cool new stuff and news and start to get used seeing the two of us together 🙂
Jacket: London, a long time ago 😉
Eagle patch: Vintage Boy London, thanks a lot Gareth <3
Angela’s wunderschönen Look findet ihr im Gesamten übrigens hier!
Shirt | http://www.sheinside.com/
Rucksack | Some tiny store in L.A. 🙂
Sneaker | Nike Air max <3
This might be the most unsual look i’m ever gonna post, but hey, i just had to do it! 😀 Normally i’m not into sport clothing, but that tricot just seemed like it’s made for me, since it contains my birthyear aswell as my fav place in the whole world – Los Angeles *_* (PS: i cant wait to be back <3)
And this is exactly where i bought the my lil pony bag, which may look ridiculous, but is incredible useful for festivals or open airs plus i’m easy to spot with it on my back 🙂
And i had to combine it with sneakers ofc hihi 🙂
If you are on Lookbook, give me a hype:
